Eaton expands its Montreal Innovation Center, focused on R&D for the energy transition

Intelligent power management company Eaton today announced the expansion of its newest global Innovation Center near Montreal in Brossard, Quebec, less than a year after opening. After nearly 40 years of developing advanced software in the region, the company last year announced its Innovation Center focused on research and development of distributed energy resource (DER) technologies. Now, Eaton is adding 90,000 square feet and 50 highly specialized jobs to the facility, bringing approximately 200 total jobs to Brossard. As part of the expansion, Eaton is building a new Experience Center to provide hands-on training in the digital technologies that are accelerating the energy transition, helping to accelerate innovation and the adoption of new solutions.
