The report went on to delve deeper into the specifics of the assessments in each of the grades, saying: “Specifically, grade 9 has a 70% formative and 30% summative split, grade 10 an equal 50% formative and summative split, grade 11 a 40% formative and 60% summative split, and grade 12 a 30% formative and 70% summative split. Consequently, the cumulative grades at the end of secondary stage are 15% for grade 9, 20% for grade 10, 25% for grade 11 and 40% for grade 12.”
