Billionaire “Lambo Guy” exposes alleged penthouse intruders in social media post

Billionaire “Lambo Guy” exposes alleged penthouse intruders in social media post

On Sunday, a few thrill seekers climbed a vacant building next door, clambered over the sky bridge and used a fire escape to break into his apartment and filmed the luxury cars and themselves. Oh, and bragged about it online.

Fittingly, Portelli, owner of online loyalty program LMCT+, took to Instagram to expose one of the alleged offenders – his name, company and the video – to his 360,000 followers.

“Welcome to this week’s episode of Australia’s dumbest criminals,” Portelli, 35, said on Instagram.

He later told CBD: “Someone sent me a story that had been posted on the social media sites of one of the alleged perpetrators.

“I was able to go through the social media accounts and both alleged perpetrators have messaged me in the past. I was able to put two and two together.”

The alleged intruders stole the hood of his $3 million McLaren Senna GTR, which was craned into his 57th-floor Exhibition Street penthouse last year, causing traffic to stop.

“I think it’s an ongoing concern here in Melbourne. Home burglaries have been on the rise for years,” he told CBD. “We need to feel safe in our own homes. There needs to be tougher penalties.”

He called the alleged intruders “an absolute disgrace to every hardworking business owner in Australia” before naming the company and its owner.

Police say they are investigating.

“There was no one in the building at the time and it is not believed anything was stolen at this time,” a police statement said.

“Officers have spoken to the owner and attended the property as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and a similar incident last month.”

Portelli told his followers that one of the alleged intruders had reached out to him on social media with a groveling apology.

“I’m sorry. I know it was the wrong thing to do. I would like to work for you for free for the next month to make amends for my wrongdoings,” the alleged intruder said.

The billionaire responded with a laughing emoji.

PARLIAMENTARY PRINT OF THE PURPLE PINGERS

Renowned social media artist and activist for tenants’ rights around the world, Jordan van den Lamb comes to the federal parliament.

The activist, who is known by his social media handle purplepingers and his website shitrentals.org, where renters post negative reviews about landlords and bad rental properties, will try to convert his social media followers into votes.

Will 200,000 TikTok followers translate into a Senate seat? Only time will tell. Van den Lamb, 28, is a Melbourne-based lawyer and federal civil servant who vows to take on the “aspiring ruling class.”

His campaign materials state: “He also makes crazy videos on TikTok and uses his platform to passionately contribute to the political discourse (and Married at first sight — equally important).” Sounds like peak CBD to us.

“The landlords in parliament are not doing anything about the problems that affect ordinary people,” van den Lamb told CBD. “I don’t want to do this, but there is a lack of will within the major parties to do anything.

“People are angry and are confronted with a huge power differential.”

He will champion the Victorian socialists and describes his style as “dry and straight to the point”.

He will be in direct competition with the Greens and the current highest-profile tenant of the federal parliament, the Labor MP who defeated Griffith Max Chandler-Mather. But he has only 68,000 Instagram followers to van den Lamb’s 68,300. JVDL gave the Greens faint praise, telling CBD: “I like their policy. I don’t think they go far enough. My party has a policy that we don’t pre-select landlords.”

Which absolutely cannot be said of some other Greens, including the deputy group leader Mehreen Faruqi and Senator of Tasmania Nick McKimeach of whom owns several properties.

DINNER APPOINTMENT

We believe there are few lawyers in Australia as well connected as the father-son duo Marking And Jeremy Leibler by Arnold Bloch Leibler.

After all, Mark has the nickname The Power Broker, a nickname that is hardly meant as a joke. The company’s 70th anniversary party in Melbourne last year attracted a veritable who’s who of the country’s political and business elite, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese give a speech as guest of honor.

Meanwhile, Jeremy, who heads the Zionist Federation of Australia, led a delegation to Israel this year that included the former Premier of Victoria Dan Andrews and a liberal senator Dave Sharmaas CBD reported.

It comes as no surprise then that the couple had a private dinner with Albo at The Lodge in June, according to documents made public under the Freedom of Information Act. Unfortunately, no one would tell us more about the menu or the topics of conversation.

But Leibler senior seems to have a fairly average view of politicians, as he said in this press release last year: “The other thing you have to understand about politicians is that it’s all about power.

“And the one constant current that runs through everything politicians do and say is the desire to stay in power, which means winning elections, whatever the cost. And very often, principles are the losers in all of this.”

So we can’t imagine him being too overwhelmed by a date at The Lodge. But we doubt he would repeat such sentiments to Albo’s face. He’s far too charming for that.
