Mangaluru, August 30: The much-awaited ‘COMCLAVE 2024’, an inter-class trade fest, was held on 28th August with great enthusiasm, showcasing the talents and skills of students in various competitions. Organised by the departments of commerce, statistics and computer science, the event was a resounding success, full of innovation, creativity and healthy competition.

The day began with an inspiring inauguration, which set the tone for the exciting events that followed. The inauguration was hosted by the Commerce Secretary, Ananya, who kept the audience enthralled and ensured a seamless flow of the programme.

The competitions were diverse and challenging, with something for everyone. The launch It: sale advertising competition kicked things off, with contestants presenting innovative advertising campaigns that captivated the judges. This was followed by the brand allure competition, where students demonstrated their ability to create compelling brand stories. The intensive stress interview then tested the contestants’ ability to think quickly and react under pressure.

The brand equity competition showcased the participants’ strategic insights into managing and building brand equity. This was followed by the flip-flop competition, which challenged students to argue both sides of a topic with equal conviction, demonstrating their versatility and quick thinking.

Furthermore, the Logo Luminary competition brought out the creativity of participants as they designed unique and impactful logos that visually communicated the essence of their assigned brands. The level of creativity and thoughtfulness displayed in this competition was truly remarkable.

Reflecting on the event, one attendee noted, “COMCLAVE 2024 wasn’t just a competition; it was a learning experience that pushed us to think creatively and strategically. It truly embodied the spirit of commerce.”

Principal Sr Norine D’Souza in her speech congratulated the participants and winners for their enthusiastic involvement. She urged them to continue to shine in their academic and extra-curricular activities in the days to come. Deputy Principal Sr Janet Sequeira and the faculty members witnessed the event.

The overall champion trophy was won by II BEBA/BSBA and the first and second runners up trophies were won by II CSBA & I CEBA/SEBA A batch respectively. The celebration ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Vice President of the College, Manvitha. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who had contributed to the success of the event, from the participants and judges to the organizing committee and volunteers. Her words reflected the collective sense of appreciation and camaraderie that characterized the day.

COMCLAVE 2024 was indeed a celebration of commerce, creativity and collaboration, leaving everyone with lasting memories and valuable experiences.
