Oasis fans call for BOYCOTT of Viagogo as greedy resellers attempt to sell reunion tour tickets for up to £7,000 – as band issues urgent warning

Oasis fans are calling for a boycott of Viagogo as greedy sellers try to sell tickets for the reunion tour for ‘the price of a house’.

People were trying to sell tickets on the ticket resale website for as much as £7,000 just to see the Britpop band perform next summer.

Chaos has broken out this morning as fans struggle to get tickets for the 17 concerts next year, and there are also technical problems on booking sites.

A fan wrote on X: ‘They’re probably already on #Viagogo. You’ll have to sell your house.’

Oasis on Saturday urged fans to only buy tickets through official websites, as resale sites are charging excessive prices for the Manchester rockers’ performances.

The band said on X: ‘Please note, Oasis Live ’25 tickets can only be resold at face value via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets!

‘Tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or cancelled by the organizers.’

On Friday night the band issued a warning after unofficial sales sites recommended tickets bought in advance for thousands of pounds.

A post on the band’s X page stated: ‘We’ve noticed that people have been trying to sell tickets on the secondary market since pre-sales started.

Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via @Ticketmaster and @Twickets.

‘Tickets sold in violation of the terms and conditions will be cancelled by the organizers.’

Officially, tickets are being sold via Ticketmaster, GigsAndTours and See Tickets. However, tickets for the band’s reunion concert have also been relisted on ticket swapping and reselling websites for thousands of pounds.

On Friday night, Oasis tickets for Wembley Stadium were listed on Viagogo for up to £5,909, while some tickets for the London venue, listed under ‘Hospitality Club’, were on sale for £10,578 on StubHub.

StubHub’s website states that all Oasis tickets “come with our FanProtect 100% guarantee for a safe purchase.”

Adam Webb of FanFair Alliance, a group opposing ‘industrial scale’ secondary ticketing, told MailOnline: ‘Within 20 minutes of tonight’s Oasis pre-sale, we discovered individual sellers were listing up to 80 tickets each on viagogo, hoping to make a staggering profit of almost £200,000.

‘This money is being extorted from fans, siphoned out of the British economy and siphoned off to foreign websites.

“This kind of consumer exploitation can only be curtailed by the government. The only solution is to ban the resale of tickets for profit.”

Tickets are officially sold through Ticketmaster, GigsAndTours and See Tickets, but the band's reunion concert tickets have also been relisted on ticket exchange and resale websites for thousands of pounds.

One angry fan, Dean Smith, was furious at ‘scum’ selling them for ridiculous prices.

Another, Daire Tully, added: ‘Always been going on. Missed the pre-sale.

‘It’s heartbreaking to see Oasis tickets selling for multiples of face value before they’ve even gone on general sale.’

Prices for a seat to see the band perform at London’s Wembley Stadium start at £74.25, with the most expensive ticket costing £506.25 and including a pre-show party, exhibition and seating package.

According to Manchester-based organiser SJM Concerts, which runs the website Gigs And Tours, the cheapest seats are at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, which costs £73, and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, which costs £74.

Standing tickets at Wembley cost fans £151.25, while in Cardiff and Edinburgh the same tickets are slightly cheaper at £150 and £151.

In the band’s hometown of Manchester, tickets start at £148.50, with a range of hospitality and luxury packages available, as well as standing room.

Prior to the announcement of the UK shows, Irish promoter MCD said on its website that prices for the two Croke Park gigs in Dublin will start at €86.50 (£72.75), excluding booking fees.

The Gallaghers announced Tuesday that they had put their breakup behind them, confirming the band’s long-awaited reunion by saying, “The long wait is over.”
