49ers’ Ricky Pearsall injured in attempted robbery

San Francisco 49ers first-round pick WR Ricky Pearsall is in stable condition after being shot in the chest during an attempted robbery on Saturday.

Pearsall was reportedly attending a signature drive at the famed Cow Palace and was on his way to a Union Station when a 17-year-old boy attempted to rob him of his Rolex.

According to SFPD: 49ers Ricky Pearsall was shot in San Francisco. Robbery gone wrong. Pearsall went to a book signing at Geary/Market, was robbed, struggled for the gun. Both Ricky and suspect were shot. Both parties at SF General Hospital. Stal. Shot in the chest over Rolex.

The mayor of San Francisco confirmed the shooting.

This afternoon, an attempted robbery took place in Union Square during which San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot.

San Francisco police immediately arrived on the scene and arrested the shooter.
