Dacia unveils new C-Class model in Paris

Romanian carmaker Dacia, part of the Renault group, will unveil a new C-Class model at the Paris Motor Show, which will take place from October 14 to 20, Economica.net reports, citing sources close to the French group.

Dacia’s stand at the motor show will feature “a new model marking the brand’s offensive in the C-segment,” French officials said.

Economica.net expects that the new model will probably be the SUV model that has been called Bigster so far due to its size, which would be bigger compared to the existing SUV model Duster. However, the company is also said to be working on a C-Class model in the hatchback segment.

The commercial name of the new model will also be announced.

The new Dacia model, expected to be unveiled in Paris, is part of Renault’s bid to show seven new models and two concepts at the show. These “will illustrate Renault Group’s ambition to be at the forefront of the automotive industry. The group is accelerating its transformation process, with the aim of becoming the most progressive carmaker in Europe thanks to its complementary brands.”

According to the French authorities, Dacia will present “a new model that marks the brand’s offensive in the C segment” at the motor show.
