Will Mark Pope Form Kentucky’s Best 2025 Recruiting Class?

Will Mark Pope Form Kentucky’s Best 2025 Recruiting Class?

Mark Pope and the Kentucky coaching staff just signed another member of the 2025 recruiting class, as five-star guard Jasper Johnson has picked the Wildcats. Johnson joins Malachi Moreno in the 2025 class, so the Wildcats now have two elite players, one of which is a guard and the other a seven-foot center.

Currently, Kentucky’s recruiting class for the 2025 cycle is ranked #1 by On3 and #2 by 247Sports. Knowing that the biggest criticism of Coach Pope when he took the job at Kentucky was his recruiting record, Big Blue Nation has to feel good about how the new staff is doing on the recruiting trail.

The question is, will Coach Pope and his staff be able to finish with the best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle?

If you know who Kentucky still has in the running, there is a chance. The Wildcats are still looking for players like Chris Cenac Jr., Braylon Mullins, and Tonde Yessoufou. If Coach Pope can get one of these players, this class will most likely finish in the top five. If he can get more than one, this class has a chance to be number one.

There are a few other players not listed that this staff is looking into, but it appears these are the three names Kentucky fans will want to keep a close eye on in the coming months.

Whether Kentucky’s class is number one or number five, BBN should feel good about what Coach Pope is doing in recruiting.
