Billion-dollar bank accused of secretly sending customers’ personal and financial information to Facebook, Google and Microsoft

Capital One, the eighth-largest bank in the U.S., is facing a class-action lawsuit for allegedly collecting and sharing personal and financial information about its customers without permission. The bank is accused of sharing this data with tech giants including Facebook, Google and Microsoft. The lawsuit alleges that Capital One used tracking technologies on its website to collect information such as account details, credit card application data and credit card pre-approval information. The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial and both monetary and non-monetary damages. Capital One has not yet responded to the allegations.
