Arsenal star leaves international teammate visibly irritated after clash on training field

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber reportedly clashed with compatriot Wout Weghorst during training.

According to the Dutch AD, former Manchester United striker Weghorst initially left training after what he saw as a foul by Timber. Even when he returned to the field, he seemed visibly irritated.

Weghorst recently joined Ajax from Burnley after a difficult few years in which he was loaned out several times, including a short spell at Man Utd in 2022/23.

Ronald Koeman will continue to use Weghorst for the Dutch national team. The national coach would therefore like to see this situation resolved as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Wout Weghorst was not happy with Jurrien Timber

It’s unclear exactly what Timber did to irritate his team-mate, but Gunners fans will be pleased to see that the 23-year-old has no concerns about his commitment, even after the injuries he has suffered during his time at the Emirates Stadium.

Timber left Ajax for Arsenal over a year ago, but was immediately injured on the opening day of the Premier League season and was therefore out for the entire competition.

AFC fans will be pleased to see that Timber is back and looks ready to make his mark on games despite what must have been a very difficult period for him.

It will be interesting to see whether Timber or Weghorst will comment on this situation, or whether national coach Koeman feels he needs to take action.

To be honest, this is probably something that always happens during training sessions for every team. It’s just something that happened to be noticed by the journalists present at the right time. So it will probably blow over quickly.
