HOUSTON, TX / ACCESSWIRE / September 9, 2024 / PATTERSON-UTI ENERGY, INC. (NASDAQ:PTEN) today reported that the Company operated an average of 107 drilling rigs in the United States during the month of August 2024. For the two months ended August 31, 2024, the Company operated an average of 108 drilling rigs in the United States.

The average number of rigs in operation reported in the Company’s monthly announcements represents the average number of the Company’s rigs that generated revenue under a drilling contract in the United States. The Company cautioned that numerous factors other than the average number of rigs in operation can affect the Company’s results of operations and that a particular trend in the number of rigs in operation may or may not indicate or be indicative of a trend in the Company’s financial performance. The Company intends to continue to provide monthly updates on rigs in operation shortly after the end of each month.
