Exicure, Inc. Announces Proposed Settlement of Securities Class Action Lawsuit

Exicure, Inc. (Nasdaq: XCUR, the “Company”) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with plaintiffs to settle Colwell v. Exicure, Inc. et al., Case Number 1:21-CV-06637, a previously announced securities class action lawsuit pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (the “Court”). The settlement is subject to Court approval, and plaintiffs filed a motion for preliminary approval of the settlement with the Court on September 6, 2024.

The settlement does not constitute an admission by the Company of any liability or wrongdoing. Nevertheless, the Company believes it is beneficial to resolve the matter, as further litigation would be burdensome and lengthy.
