EXOSENS AND THEON INTERNATIONAL FORMED THEIR LONG-TERM COMMERCIAL RELATIONSHIP TO COVER THE NIGHT VISION DEVICE BUSINESS

  • Exosens and Theon have signed a multi-year agreement for the supply of image intensifier tubes for 2025/2026 with an option for 2027. This agreement includes volume commitments. This will meet Theon’s needs and allow Exosens to adapt its activities to the increasing demand in the market.

Exosensea high-tech company focused on the supply of mission- and performance-critical amplification, sensing and imaging equipment, today announces the signing of a two-year volume and notice period commitment supply agreement through the end of 2026, with an option for 2027, with Theon, a leading developer and manufacturer of customizable night vision and thermal imaging systems for defense and security applications.

This agreement provides Exosens with the opportunity to further optimize its manufacturing and supply chain operations while strengthening its ability to better respond to increasing market demand.

Over the years, night vision has become central to modern warfare, as operations increasingly take place at night. This evolution has been reinforced by the geopolitical situation with the recent conflict in Ukraine, which now involves high-intensity fighting. Photonis, brand of Exosens, builds on decades of expertise and offers image intensifier tubes, the engine of night vision equipment, which improve soldiers’ tactical situational awareness, agility and mobility, as well as their targeting and driving ability, even on the darkest nights. Photonis 4G and 4G+ products have been selected by the armies of all major European countries and by NATO forces, who recognized the unique product performance on the battlefield.

“This agreement is the result of a long-standing relationship with Theon, one of our OEM customers. We are very pleased that we can continue to produce and supply high-quality key products in a growing environment. Our investment in production capacity enables us to meet the demands of our end users to remain the undisputed world leader and manufacturer of image intensifier tubes. This agreement provides us with the means to optimize our production operations and supply chain in the coming years, while maintaining the flexibility needed to meet the rapidly changing demand.” said Jérôme Cerisier, CEO of Exosens.

“Image intensifier tubes are a crucial component of night vision goggles and represent a significant portion of their cost. Theon has taken measures to ensure continued long-term supply to its existing customers and to accommodate the expected further growth in its revenues in 2025-2026 and thus the higher demand for pipes.” added Christian Hadjiminas, CEO of Theon.
