Will iOS 18 Make Your Phone Obsolete? Here Are All the Phones That Support It

Apple’s upcoming release is set to bring a ton of new features and functionality to iPhone users, and while the company’s new iPhone 16 lineup is designed to help you get the most out of those new features, having the latest and greatest phone isn’t a requirement. Even if you have an iPhone that’s a few years old, you can still upgrade to iOS 18 and use many (but not all) of the new AI features the company announced during its Glowtime launch event.

If you’re not sure whether your phone will support the new operating system, don’t worry: We’ve dug through the release notes to find out exactly which devices will be able to run iOS 18 when it launches on September 16. Those devices include:

If you have one of these models, you can either wait for your phone to remind you with a pop-up notification on update day that the update is available, or you can force a manual update by going to Settings > Generaland then tap Software update.
