Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson was caught attempting a pull shot during the second day of the Duleep Trophy 2024 match between India A and India D at Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh).

It was not a cheerful return to first-class cricket for wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson after he managed to score just five runs for India D in their second round match of the 2024 Duleep Trophy against India A in Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) on Friday morning. After coming to bat following the dismissal of opener Yash Dubey on Day 2, Samson bowled a short delivery from fast bowler Aaqib Khan for a four to open his account.

However, Aaqib had the final say when he tested the 29-year-old again later with a short delivery. This time Samson went for a pull shot and missed the ball, leaving Prasidh Krishna to catch it almost mid-on.

More to come…
