Brazilian stocks higher at close of trading; Bovespa up 0.64% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Brazilian stocks rose after the close on Friday as gains across sectors and stocks lifted.

At the close in Sao Paulo, earnings rose 0.64%.

The best performers of the session were: Blue SA Pref (BVMF:), which rose 22.52% or 0.91 points to close at 4.95. Meanwhile, Cvc Brazil ON (BVMF:) rose 14.29% or 0.26 points to close at 2.08 and Braskem SA (BVMF:) rose 7.79% or 1.40 points to close at 19.38 in late trading.

The worst performers of the session were Send Distribuidora SA (BVMF:), which fell 2.98% or 0.27 points to close at 8.80. Atacadao SA (BVMF:) fell 2.67% or 0.25 points to close at 9.11 and Vibra Energia SA (BVMF:) fell 1.60% or 0.41 points to close at 25.28.

The number of rising stocks on the B3 Stock Exchange outnumbered the number of falling stocks by 592, compared to 340. 49 stocks ended unchanged.

Shares of Sendas Distribuidora SA (BVMF:) fell to an all-time low, losing 2.98% or 0.27 to 8.80.

The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, rose 2.49% to 27.55.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.09% or 28.05 to $2,608.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for October delivery rose 0.38% or 0.26 to $69.23 a barrel, while the U.S. Coffee C contract for December rose 3.56% or 8.88 to $258.28.

USD/BRL fell 1.06% to 5.57, while EUR/BRL fell 0.83% to 6.17.

US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.22% to 101.12.
