Lemgo – On September 1, 2024, the EU-funded project SIXFOLD, one of the technical colleges Ostwestfalen-Lippe (TH OWL), started. Im Rahmen een zweitägigen Auftaktveranstaltung kamen Partners:innen uit meerren Ländern zuammen, um die Weichen für das hrgeizige Vorhaben zu set.

A year ago, SIXFOLD monitored the transformation of agricultural and business sectors in Europe through the networking of Living Labs, Regulators and Companies from the industry, analytics construction and deep-tech sectors.

The project is developed by the Innovationskraft in the agricultural and food sector in Europe, which supports a European network by expanding Living Labs. These real tests, in the new idea, technology and services in practice with nutzer:innen and interest groups are developed and realized.

Agricultural and agricultural activities will continue to evolve and develop new technologies. An der TH OWL continues with the Future Food Factory OWL in the middle of the Vorhabens. Zentrale Frage ist, which mechanisms of time hinder innovation, and which barriers are created.

The Living Labs are active in agriculture and business, new technologies with smart intelligence, robotics and biotechnology are testing and implementing. A part of the time of the two years was thus carried out 150 years later, a zukunftsweisende solution in the Lebensmittelsystem to erproben.

Six partner institutions from Finland, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Belgium and Germany, which support the Ostwestfalen-Lippe Technical University, work together and those in Vorhaben. International studies offer co-creation sessions that can promote innovation.

What role does it play in the European Green Deal?

SIXFOLD supports the Green Deals spirit and the EU Farm-to-Fork Strategy, and pays for its biological and technological transformation of the agricultural and farming sector. One of the TH OWL is the Institute for Life Science Technologies (ILT.NRW) with the Future Food Factory OWL as Living Lab involved in the project and supported by the project of Deep-Tech solutions in agriculture and business.

Deep-tech solutions are seen as advanced technologies, which relate to meaningful-economic or engineering-technical advances and deep-reaching innovation bases, to solve a turbulent technical or social challenge. The implementation of deep-tech solutions is no longer an innovation barrier in the industry, which means that there are social assets and regulatory requirements that are actively bound.

Due to the comprehensive approach and recommendation of technical solutions and regulatory adjustments, SIXFOLD contributions make the Wandeling one of the most sustainable and innovative agricultural and food companies in Europe for their development.
