LBG writes new Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Medical and Health Sciences from around the world

Start calling for the new LBI. The institute’s budget is 15 million euros for maximum years. Requests can be made by 17 years 2025.

“People, not projects” – under this motto the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft (LBG) new Ludwig Boltzmann Institute (LBI) was founded. The source of the Ausschreibung for the new LBI lies in an excellent research in the field of medical and health sciences. On January 17, 2025, an investigation was conducted on the results of the Foundation, a Peer Review Verfahrens and a hearing for Finalists by an international Expert:innenjury. In the preparation for the Einreichung, a Networking and Information Veranstaltungen is being given.

“With the death of a new Research Institute, the community with the Ludwig Boltzmann Society is further expanding our Bemühungen, the Research in the Field of Medicine and Health. When it comes to a renewed development, the innovative character of the health fragments will be increased. Through the financing of the Ludwig Boltzmann Society, the most important impetus for health care has been created, a legal requirement for the Research Center Austria to strengthen”, said Martin Polaschek, Federal Minister for Education, Science and Research.

The health of man is important in focus

The new Ludwig Boltzmann Institute was founded after the motto “People, not projects”, a reawakening science: financial matters and thoughts about life on a higher level at the level of the beets. The focus of the new generation of institutes is on the field of life sciences: medical and health sciences with a focus on human health. The medical and health sciences are the most advanced solutions for the development of health care and the interpretation of the LBG-wide approach: the medical and general knowledge of the spectrum of medical health care and health care in their health care. In the context of the Research projects of all LBI, the chances are high that you will solve problems and fragmentary problems.

The work of the LBIs works in partnership between research- and application-oriented organizations. In the joint work of a host institution (which can run all Austrian universities and private universities), co-financing partner organizations and other network partners: it does not provide any synergy for the transdistribution purpose of one of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institutes. The budget is a new LBI amount of 1.5 million euros per year, but then 80 percent from the Ludwig Boltzmann Gesellschaft and 20 percent from the financial partner organizations. The Institute is part of the LBG and became an integrated host university. The Laufzeit started a year ago, with the possibility of an extension for a further three years.
