Second reality star accuses massage therapist of inappropriate touching after he used his business as ‘cloak’ to hide predatory intentions, court hears

A second reality star today accused a massage therapist of inappropriately touching her after he used his business as a “front” to hide his predatory intentions.

Marcelo Oliveira, 45, is on trial for sexual offences against 10 female clients – including two reality TV stars – while he gave them massages over a period of almost two years.

He denies 22 charges of sexual abuse and six other serious sexual offences.

A TV star, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told a Birmingham court that Oliveira pulled down her underwear and massaged her bottom during a 2021 date.

The woman claimed that there was no apparent reason why the masseur had to pull down her underwear and that he left her completely naked for about half an hour.

She alleged that just before the end of the appointment, Oliveira pressed against her in a sexual manner while performing a different type of massage.

During the woman's testimony last week, Oliveira was also accused of showing her

The woman is the second celebrity to testify at the trial, after another TV star told the court last week she was “petrified” when Oliveira allegedly groped her during a 2019 tryst.

During the woman’s testimony last week, Oliveira was also accused of showing her “many” nude photos of other female clients, including “at least three celebrities.”

A filmed police interrogation with the second reality star, who is in her 30s, was shown to the court.

She said she first contacted Oliveira after undergoing liposuction surgery to book some massages as part of the recovery process.

She said that a colleague accompanied her during the first four sessions, but that the fifth time he was alone. This time he pulled down her underwear.

The woman told officers, “I felt really uncomfortable.

‘He massaged my ass for about four seconds and then moved on to my legs, but he kept my panties down the whole time, for about half an hour.’

She added: ‘It was one of those things where you think, ‘I don’t think anyone should touch me like that, except my mother.’ He had no reason to touch my butt.

“I was almost naked for no reason. I didn’t even have to be naked for the surgery itself.”

She said that when she told her friend about the alleged ordeal after the appointment, they asked her if she was sure it wasn’t part of the massage.

“I thought, ‘That’s the best way to hide what you’re doing,’ but I knew it wasn’t right,” she said.

The woman said she initially didn’t come forward because she didn’t realize it was a form of sexual abuse and mistakenly thought it was her responsibility to tell Oliveira to stop.

But when she saw other women making accusations against the masseur, she felt empowered to speak out about her own experience, she said.

During cross-examination, Paul Williams, representing Oliveira, asked the woman if she had been in discussions with a production company to appear in a documentary “about the case.”

“That has been said,” she replied.

“Were you aware that they had contacted the police to ask if they wanted to get involved?” Mr Williams asked.

“Yes,” she said.

“Is this a way to promote yourself and your profile?” the lawyer asked.

“No,” she said.

The woman later added that she thought her appearance in a documentary might lead to “just one person, who feels the responsibility lies with him, coming forward” in the future.

The process continues.
