Man confronts burglars who break into his home, stabbed 20 times

A 36-year-old interior designer was tragically stabbed to death in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, after he encountered burglars trying to break into his apartment on Sunday (September 15).

The victim, who lived alone in an apartment he bought last year, was found with as many as 20 stab wounds.

He suffered five stab wounds in his ribs, six in his head and nine in his wrists.

After the brutal attack, the burglars managed to steal a number of valuables from him, including his wallet and mobile phone.

Neighbors call police after hearing commotion

The incident came to light when the victim’s neighbors heard a commotion around 11 p.m. on Sunday evening.

Concerned about the noise and the fact that the victim had not been seen leaving his home, they called police at 1am the next morning.

Police responded to the call and arrived at Sri Damansara’s apartment, where they found the victim’s lifeless body.

Initial investigation shows that the man died during a violent confrontation with the burglars who broke into his home.

Suspects may have stab wounds

Authorities suspect the suspects suffered stab wounds during the struggle with the victim.

The police are therefore calling on the public to report any persons they encounter with suspicious injuries.

The case is being investigated as murder under Article 302 of the Criminal Code, which prescribes the death penalty.

Investigators are still working to identify the suspects and the motive behind the crime.
