Aon and Centerra complete .5 million collective deal via 401(k) swap

Centerra Group LLC and a Aon PLC Unit has received final approval for a $7.5 million settlement in a class action lawsuit resolving a lawsuit over a revision of Centerra’s 401(k) plan that allegedly favored underperforming Aon investments.

Judge Sherri A. Lydon gave final approval to the deal and awarded the class counsel $2.5 million in attorney fees in an order issued Tuesday by the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Lydon also awarded the attorneys $660,000 in costs and signed $20,000 in service awards for each of the five class representatives in the case.
