Baut in den Nederlanden ultraschnellen Batteriespeicher zur Stabilisierung des Stromnetzes (ee-news.ch)

September 19, 2024

(ee-news.ch) Based on the gelände in his new power plant in Moerdijk we have started to build an ultra-fast battery system. The batteries that you can use in the interior of Millisekunden Strom can charge it and make it as powerful as possible that the Stromnetz stabilizes. This system service is provided as Momentanreserve. The batteries are equipped with an installed capacity of 7.5 Megawatt (MW) and a capacity of 11 Megawatt (MWh) verfügen.

The Batteriespeicherprojekt Moerdijk is part of the system integration solution of Oranje Wind, the joint offshore wind energy project of Rwe and Total Energies off the Dutch coast (see ee-news.ch from 9.10.23 >>). Oranje Wind is a new way to integrate volatile power generation from renewable sources into the Dutch energy system. No electrolysers, intelligent charging stations for electrical appliances, electric boilers and batteries are needed.

Herausforderung Netzstabilität
The judge who sets the grid stabilization is higher than the previous energy in the energy system. The Role of Momentary reserve as the most recent available energy in the grid system is separated. In the past, Momentary reserve was mainly produced by the rotating masses of turbines, e.g. in coal mining plants. There are new energy conventional energy sources that are increasingly used, but no longer the rotating generators ab. Battery storage systems can balance the demand and Momentary reserve in the grid.

In Moerdijk, Rwe will install lithium-Eisenphosphat-Batterien (Lfp) verbaute in three Schiffscontainern. The switching system is the best way to change mains voltage and high voltage mains. Advanced control technology and wechselrichter with automatic power supply function of the battery charger system can be quickly prepared.

Second test phase
After the implementation of the end of 2024, the pilot phase continued. When the phase of the grid development network partner of Tennet Partner of projects is reached, the technically advanced and grid configuration refinements for the net ownership of battery-specific systems will have been further expanded.
