USPS to halt stamp price increase in January, citing recent hikes

The U.S. Postal Service announced Friday that it will not raise postage prices in January, the first time since January 2022 that there will be no increase.

In July, the USPS raised the price of a first-class stamp from 68 cents to 73 cents. At the same time, prices for all postal products increased by 7.8 percent.

Since the beginning of 2019, stamp prices have increased by 36%, from 50 cents to the current rate.
