West Ham United are still showing patience with new manager Julen Lopetegui, even after a nightmare start to the season that saw them lose their opening three home league games for the first time.

Sources with a good understanding of the situation have informed CaughtOffside that Lopetegui’s future at West Ham is not yet in doubt. There is a feeling that the Spanish tactician needs some time to settle in at the club.

Lopetegui is highly regarded for his previous work, including at Wolves and the Spanish national team, but he comes at a time of major change at the London Stadium, with a number of new signings joining his club this summer.

West Ham fans will be hoping for things to improve soon, but for now it appears the East Londoners are not making any hasty decisions regarding their manager.

David Moyes has done an excellent job at the Hammers and some fans may have felt it was a shame to let him go at the end of last season, having won the Europa Conference League final with the club the year before.

Still, Lopetegui should be a reliable player, and it’s worth noting that West Ham have had a very difficult start at home, with games against Manchester City, Chelsea and Aston Villa.

As time goes on, things will improve and there will undoubtedly be positive aspects that Lopetegui can work on.
