International Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports Conference 2024 opens in Guizhou Province, China

XINGYI, China, September 26, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — On September 26^e2024 International Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports Conference, China’s unique international high-end summit with mountain tourism as the theme, opened in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. This conference has organized three major events and a series of supporting activities, namely the opening ceremony of the International Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports Conference 2024 together with the Asian Mountain Tourism Promotion Conference, the annual conference of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) 2024, and Wanfenglin Walking Event 2024 for 10,000 people.

This conference, with the theme “Integrating Culture, Sports and Tourism for High Quality Life”, was organized by IMTA and hosted by the IMTA Secretariat and the People’s Government of Qianxinan Prefecture. The aim is to explore innovative avenues for the development of high-quality and sustainable mountain tourism in the new era through in-depth exchanges and cooperation to inject new vitality and momentum into mountain tourism.

Nearly 400 guests attended the opening ceremony of the conference, including representatives of international organizations, tourism departments of relevant countries, institutions stationed in China, tourism-related enterprises, mountain tourism destination management agencies, industry experts and scientists, as well as media reporters, etc.
