According to Nansel, in the first incident, Khadija Aliyu, a female suspect, was arrested on September 28, 2024 for allegedly stealing a seven-day-old girl during a naming ceremony at a residence behind the INEC office in Keffi.

“While the event was taking place, she sneaked into the house and stole the baby who was being put to sleep, carried the child on her back, covered her with a veil and escaped before she was later arrested.” He stated.
