VeryDarkMan appears before House of Reps because of the Bobrisky saga

Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, will today appear before the House of Representatives regarding bribery allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

VeryDarkMan had released an audio in which crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, allegedly claimed that he had bribed officials of the EFCC with N15 million in exchange for the withdrawal of money laundering charges against him.

In the audio, Bobrisky also claimed to have avoided his six-month jail sentence at Kirikiri Prison, Lagos.

Following this, the House of Representatives summoned VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky and EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede.

VeryDarkMan’s legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed in a message via X on Sunday that his client will appear before the National Assembly’s investigative panel on Monday.

“Tomorrow we will be at the National Assembly with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in the investigation into Bobrisky’s allegations that he/she paid N15 million to have money laundering charges dropped by the EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment,” Adeyanju wrote. .

Meanwhile, Bobrisky’s legal team published a legal notice earlier on Sunday accusing VeryDarkMan of releasing AI-generated audio aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

In response, VeryDarkMan threatened to sue Bobrisky for N1,000,000,020, humorously adding N20 as personal gain.
