Zelda Echoes of Wisdom: All Swordfighter Form Weapons and How to Get Them

Swordfighter Form may be the best tool in your arsenal Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomand can be used alongside your ability to summon Echoes to overcome any challenge. There are three weapons in this form, but you don’t get them all at once.

Each weapon that can be used during Swordfighter Form is unlocked at a different point in EoW’s main story. Once unlocked, they can all be upgraded using Might Crystals in the furnace in Lueberry’s house, which is especially useful as it increases the amount of damage you can do with each weapon.

How to unlock all Swordfighter Form weapons

Each additional weapon is unlocked after an encounter with Dark Link in one of Hyrule’s many Rifts and ruins. These encounters vary in complexity, but are all relatively quick to complete. In each of these encounters, Dark Link periodically drops hearts. Make sure you pick them up as they fall to avoid succumbing to the damage he does.

Mighty Sword: Defeat Dark Link in Suthorn Ruins

Your first encounter with Link will take place in the Suthorn Ruins. You can only rely on your Echoes and Bind abilities to defeat him here. Use your Bin ability to remove Dark Link’s shield from him, making him more vulnerable to incoming damage, then send a few ranged attack Echoes to take him out.

If it takes a little too long, you can lure him to grassy areas and set them on fire with echoes like Ignizol that produce fire, and there are several pots nearby that can be used as projectiles. If you run out of pots, summon some rocks and throw them at him.

After defeating Dark Link in the Suthorn Ruins, you can interact with the sword he leaves behind to obtain the Mighty Sword and unlock the Swordfighter Form.

Mighty Bow: Defeat Dark Link in Gerudo Sanctum

During the encounter with Gerudo Sanctum, Link splits into three and you have to get all three copies out. You can use the environment to help with this. Use the Bind ability to cling to one of the three Dark Links and then transport it to the hole in the ground. Dropping a Dark Link into the hole will not kill him, but will cause damage.

Another tactic is to use ReDead Echoes to freeze all three Dark Links in place so you can get close enough to do some damage with the Mighty Sword you already have. However, this can be difficult, because the ReDead Echoes also cause you to freeze.

I got through this encounter by targeting one of the Dark Links and then ruthlessly throwing pots and summoning rocks at it. While this takes longer, it does mean you can keep your distance from all three Dark Links and slowly reduce their numbers. Monster Echoes, regardless of their level or power, are wiped out in one fell swoop by Dark Link, but they provide a good distraction.

After completing this encounter, you can interact with the bow left by Dark Link to unlock the Mighty Bow.

Mighty Bombs: Defeat Dark Link at the Eldin Temple

The easiest way to get through this battle is to send any bombs that come your way straight back to Dark Link. You can do this by tying them up and maneuvering them back towards him, or you can catch them and throw them back. You can also summon Bombfish and then throw them in his direction.

If this technique doesn’t work, your best bet is to use the Mighty Bow to deal damage from a distance, while summoning Echoes that can do the same, such as Wizzrobe or Octorok. This battle may take a while and a few tries as those bombs do a large amount of damage to Zelda, but don’t lose hope and persevere.

When the encounter is over, interact with the bomb left by Dark Link to unlock Mighty Bombs. They do the most damage to enemies, but keep in mind that there is a delay between throwing them and them actually going off, so it can be quite slow and cumbersome.
