Volleyball: Alexandria rises in Class 3A rankings – Alexandria Echo Press

Alexandria volleyball moved up one spot in the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association rankings this week. Alexandria (17-9) is ranked No. 5 in Class 3A.

After Thursday’s win over then-seventh-ranked ROCORI, Alexandria, then ranked sixth in Class 3A, won 3-1 at home on Saturday to take second place.

Alexandria posted 2-0 wins over Morris Area-Chokio-Alberta, Maple Lake and Ada Borup-West before falling 2-1 to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in the championship game.

Alexandria will host No. 2 Marshall (18-4) on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The West Central Area Knights (17-3) remain at No. 8 in the Class A rankings. WCA hosts Montevideo (2-14) on Tuesday at 7:15 PM.
