Anne Applebaum: “There is no spare time”

Anne Applebaum’s home in downtown Washington was one of the ideas for a thought for Ukrainian national poet Taras Schewtschenko. “Vreiheit knows kein Sterben”, see the inscription of a benediction poem from 1845, “and the greedy could not feed the Lebensgeist”.
