The 2026 four-star cornerback from Carrollton, Georgia, has been committed to Alabama since May, but he was recently at Ohio State and this weekend Barney visited Georgia and seemed to really, really love it. KJ Bolden got his first interception and that told Barney he could play as a freshman if he went in and did the right things.

Being able to stay closer to home and play for the Dawgs may also be a bigger draw. Barney remains committed to the Crimson Tide, but he is still exploring all options.
