As he enters his senior season at Highland School in Virginia, five-star prospect Nate Ament’s class of 2025 has landed a big NIL deal that he can hold onto for years to come.

According to Boardroom’s Nick DePaula, Ament signed a long-term NIL and NBA footwear deal with Reebok on Wednesday and will be one of the first NIL high school athletes ever to launch a Player Exclusive sneaker at retail. Ament is ranked as the No. 2 power forward and No. 4 overall player in the class of 2025 in the 247Sports composite.

The addition of Ament to Reebok’s roster continues the company’s preparations for a 2025 relaunch into the world of performance basketball.

“I am so excited to welcome Nate to the Reebok family,” said Shaquille O’Neal, President of Reebok Basketball, Boardroom said in a press release. “He’s a great kid who comes from a great family, and he has superstar potential on the field.”

O’Neal and fellow original Reebok signature shoe icon Allen Iverson were named to leadership positions at the company last fall, with Iverson joining as vice president of Reebok Basketball. Both played key roles in identifying and signing next-generation athletes to work with Reebok.

“Reebok has everything I need as a young basketball player to take my game to the next level,” Ament said in the release. “Shaq and AI – all my dreams have been fulfilled by these legends, so it’s exciting to have them as a resource.”

Ament, who has not yet fulfilled his college commitment, is widely expected to be considered for the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA draft. Sports director of scouting Adam Finkelstein described him as “one of the best long-term prospects in the country ‘ who ‘can develop into a skilled and flexible forward over 6ft tall who will be a real three-range goal-scoring threat. “

Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky debuted the Reebok Engine A sneaker in late August, and Ament will receive Player Exclusive colorways of the model during his time with the company.

‘That’s crazy. That’s true crazy‘, Ament beamed. “When I first started playing and I was wearing worn-out KDs, I thought that would always be the case, that I would have some worn-out shoes on. It is special to think about your own PE. It’s everything a young basketball player wants.”
