Carson Beck named Davey O’Brien QB Class of 2024

Georgia senior quarterback Carson Beck has been named to the Davey O’Brien QB Class of 2024, the Davey O’Brien Foundation announced Tuesday.

Beck is one of 35 quarterbacks named to the Davey O’Brien QB Class of 2024 and is now an official candidate to win the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award for this season.

Carson Beck has led the Georgia Bulldogs to a 6-1 record and 4-1 in SEC action so far this season. He has completed 165 of 250 passes for 1,993 yards with 15 touchdowns. Beck has also rushed 27 times for 65 yards.

16 semifinalists for the awards will be chosen based on votes from the Davey O’Brien National Selection Committee and bonus votes awarded during the first round of the Davey O’Brien Fan Vote.

Fan voting will take place on the Davey O’Brien Award social media platforms: Instagram, Twitter (X) and Facebook. The first round of voting is now open until Friday, November 8 at 11:59 PM ET. The 16 semi-finalists will be announced on Tuesday, November 12, followed by the three finalists on Tuesday, November 26. The winner will be announced live on Thursday, December 12 The Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN.

Second-ranked Georgia is scheduled to play the Florida Gators this weekend at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, and ABC will televise the game at 3:30 PM ET (Buy Tickets).
