Thai manufacturing sector stagnates in October – S&P Global | 01.11.24

(RTTNews) – Thailand’s manufacturing sector stagnated in October, the latest S&P Global survey showed on Friday, with a manufacturing PMI score of 50.0.

That is less than the 50.4 in September and is now exactly on the line that separates expansion from contraction.

The PMI had a positive contribution from manufacturing and employment. These were offset by negative effects from new orders, supplier delivery times and purchasing stocks.

The volume of new orders fell in October for the first time in four months, although the pace of decline was only marginal. This led to the slowest increase in production during the current six-month expansion period.
