BMW Motorrad introduces Concept F 450 GS

The BMW Motorrad Concept F 450 GS will soon go into production, intended for the European A2 motorcycle license class. The F 450 GS, which sits between the BMW Motorrad G 310 GS and the F 800/900 GS, is a dual-purpose motorcycle with the characteristic DNA of the GS family.

An all-new parallel twin produces 48 hp, in accordance with European A2 licensing rules. According to BMW Motorrad, the engine uses a “special, never-before-used ignition offset… particularly characterful and eager to rev.”

The Concept F 450 GS works from a clean sheet of paper and comes with fully adjustable front forks and rear monoshock with load-dependent damping. This allows the F 450 GS to come close to the minimum permitted weight limit of 172 kg.
