Ole Miss reverses commitment from former Auburn DB commit

Ole Miss is hot right now, that’s for sure.

Lane Kiffin scored the biggest win of his coaching career on Saturday, leading his Rebels to a 28-10 win over Georgia. Despite losing twice this season, Ole Miss has a good chance of making the College Football Playoff at the end of the year.

And on Monday, the Rebels rejected the commitment of former Auburn commit Dante Core, a three-star defensive back in the Class of 2025. Core committed to Auburn in May and took an official visit to The Plains in July. With the Tigers struggling immensely, Core appears to have opted for the more stable environment in Oxford.

Core is considered the No. 660 prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports and the No. 57 cornerback. He weighs 5-11, 165 pounds and is from Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Kern is Ole Miss’ sixth defensive commitment and 19th overall commitment in the 2025 cycle as of mid-November.
