MT Højgaard Holding A/S: MT Højgaard Danmark wins renovation of social housing in Ballerup

MT Højgaard Holding’s business unit MT Højgaard Danmark will renovate 456 family homes in the Grantofteparken social housing estate for the organizations DAB and Ballerup almennyttige Boligselskab.

MT Højgaard Danmark has been selected as main contractor for the renovation job with a contract value of DKK 211 million. The residential units are two-storey terraced houses, which will be fitted with new bathrooms, windows and drains and improved ventilation. The renovation work will start on January 1, 2025, with a planned completion on January 1, 2027.

“We see many interesting renovation projects to bid on in the coming years. Grantofteparken is a major renovation project with many iterations and we will put all our experience to good use over the 24 month period to deliver a good result for the developer and the residents. In this type of renovation project, it is about quickly finding the key to optimizing the process in each apartment and becoming increasingly efficient towards the people who have work done at home,” says Carsten Lund, CEO of MT Højgaard Danmark.

The order does not affect MT Højgaard Holding’s 2024 outlook, which was upgraded on November 12. Turnover is expected to be around DKK 10.5 billion, while operating profit (EBIT) will be between DKK 440 and 460 million.
