Another arrest in connection with the burglary of an Olive Street home | News, sports, jobs

The Marshalltown Police Department (MPD) has made progress on an extensive investigation into multiple burglaries, including one at an Olive Street home on August 14, and two Marshalltown brothers have been arrested.

The MPD arrested Ashton Mason Clark, 20, on Wednesday and Hunter David Clark, 23, on Nov. 6. More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Ashton Mason Clark is charged with first-degree theft, a class C felony; second-degree theft and four counts of third-degree burglary, all class D felonies; and fifth-degree theft, a misdemeanor. Hunter David Clark faces the same charges. A Class C felony carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, and Class D carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $7,500 fine.

Arrest warrants have also been issued for their father, Giles Evan Richard Clark, 50, of Marshalltown, in the same investigation. He is wanted for first-degree theft; possession of a firearm as a felon, a class D misdemeanor; third-degree burglary; and possession of burglary tools, an aggravated misdemeanor. Search warrants were issued and executed for Giles Evan Richard Clark.
