“It will be a high draft pick.”

“It will be a high draft pick.”

The UConn Huskies have put together a star-studded recruiting class this cycle.

Three of UConn’s four signings from the class of 2025 are among the top 30 players in the country, with five-star shooting guard Braylon Mullins the highest ranked of all at No. 16 in the country (247 Sports).

Mullins is widely considered the best pure shooter in the 2025 class, but he is much more than just an immediate threat. At 6-foot-4, Mullins has excellent size for his position and is much more athletic than most people think.

Mullins is resilient around the rim and will only improve as a driver as he grows into his body. He projects to be a new NBA shooting guard out of UConn, in the mold of Cam Spencer and Jordan Hawkins before him.

Mullins represents the prize of UConn’s recruiting journey, especially since he was long expected to stay close to home and attend Indiana.

Hurley recently said a few things about Mullins during an interview where the elite guard signed his letter of intent to play for the Huskies.

“An explosive player and a great talent,” Hurley said.

“Comes from a great basketball state in Indiana. He has the extraordinary shooting ability, incredible athleticism on the perimeter, and a guy who will continue this long line of incredible guards coming here, ignite it, do big things for UConn, and he will be a pick with a high draft.”
