HEMSI welcomes a new graduating class of EMTs

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – A new group of EMTs are ready to serve Huntsville.

HEMSI held its graduation ceremony Thursday evening and welcomed new EMTs to the workforce.

One graduate says completing the program was a dream come true and allowed her to turn her passion into a purpose for those in the community.

“I have always wanted to help people since I was a little girl, so this was a very honorable program. I was happy that HEMSI had a program like this because unfortunately I couldn’t afford to go to school, so it was a blessing to have a program like this where I could step into my passion as a career,” said Karina Barbouze.

She says if you are interested in applying for the EMT program, do so.

She says you are capable and will make many new bonds along the way.
