NSW woman charged with murder after man’s body found in surfboard bag | New South Wales

A woman has been charged with domestic violence murder after a man’s body was found in a surfboard bag on a property in Darkwood, west of Coffs Harbour.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested in Nambucca Heads on Friday afternoon and taken to Macksville Police Station, where she was charged with the murder of a 62-year-old man.

The police will testify in court that the woman and the man knew each other.

Emergency services were called to the Darkwood property, about 67km west of Coffs Harbour, at 7pm on Thursday after reports a body had been found. Officers reportedly found the man’s body in a surfboard bag on the property’s driveway.

Police attached to the Coffs/Clarence police district, assisted by officers from the State Crime Command’s homicide squad, established Strike Force Nome to investigate the death and after “extensive enquiries” the woman was arrested on Friday.
