A British postamt at the end of the world?! Willkommen on the Falkland Islands

Direction Command

Government House in Stanley is in 19th place. For centuries the home of the Falkland Islands was named in London by the Governor. Here was the only British explorer, Ernest Shackleton (1874–1922).

Cathedral of Christ Church

This is the southernmost Anglican Church of the World. During the war of 1892 it was one of the largest buildings of the Falkland Islands. On the Gelände-steht a Denkmal – a Bogen from the Kieferknochen zier Blauwale –, das 1933 zur Einhaltung a Jahrhunderts British Herrschaft errichtet wurde.
