Gnus, Zebras, Antelopes: Animals like these walk a thousand kilometers every year. But man must work on his living space. A new online map helps you make the right choice.

The United Nations have released a new online map, even though the migration routes of Huftieren are benevolent, so how Schutz can help those arts. It is the first interactive migration map of domestic animals with zebras, wildebeest and antelopes, which shift their time in the annual regularity of large companies, teilte das secretariat des overreinkommen van de wandeltocht door wilde lebenden Tierarten (CMS) in Bonn mit. The CMS is a biodiversity delay of the United Nations.

For the “Atlas der Huftiermigration”, an international team composed of more than 80 Wissenschaftlerinnen and Wissenschaftlern Tracking data was analyzed. The Atlas soll Regierungen, Naturschutz-Gruppen und der Öffentlichkeit frei zugänglich were authorized.

“If you wish to learn more about it, it is important to know the routes that you need to take part in your journey,” says Amy Fraenkel, CMS-Geschäftsführerin. The Atlas is based on the conservation authorities’ plan and helps determine the community’s business structure before coming into operation.

Walking through Tierarten is bad

Whether it is a North American penguin, a mountain goat, a Mongolian wildebeest or an Argentinean guanacos, the family of camels – penguins in the world of geese wander through a few small lines, a snack to find, the raw weather to come in or their young ones in large numbers. “The recovery of the migration problem is for your surrender by a separate company”, affiliated with the CMS secretariat.

The first message about Zustand Wandernder Arten, der von den Vereinten Nationsen in Februar Veröffentlicht be war, was said: Vielen Wandernden Tierarten is bad. Demnach nimmt der Bestand von 44 Prozent dieser Species ab, 22 Prozent since vom Aussterben bedroht – größtenteils since the Gründe auf de Menschen zurückzuführen. This is due to the changes in the lifestyle of the countryside, roads and railways, the better protection of the wild and the climate walk.

“The Atlas has established a portion of the milestones for global conservation protection, and will make migration maps a viable and working tool, a delight for the Hufterwanderungen on the world-wide,” says Matthew Kauffman, wildlife biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the US Department for Soil Research.

The interactive maps are available at the age of 20, from Serengeti-Gnu over the African Elephants with the Saiga Antelope of the Central Asian Steppe. If you want to use another map and map, the artworks are no longer available.

“We have done a certain Wendepunkt-research, and it is more urgent that you have to find out more about it, to make sure that your natural environment is protected by the mice, which could have the great influence on wandering wild animals,” says Grant Hopcraft, Naturschutzökologie and the University of Glasgow.

So make sure that the Central Asiatic region has the largest inflow and no other connected grasslands world wide. The Atlas is as good as an Eisenbahnbau on the route of the Saiga-Antelope movement and the fact that the winter conditions are absent.

If a walk takes place in the detailed map, you can set the direction and interest in the hiking trails of the Wildtierstraßenüberquerungen or other Schutzmaßnahmen, one of the Wanderungen der Herden that are there.
