BILOXI, Miss. – Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College hosted its 5th annual Student Leadership Conference on Wednesday, drawing nearly 100 students looking to improve their leadership skills. Held at the iMPAC Center on the Harrison County campus, the event featured a lineup of seasoned professionals available to share insights and answer questions about career growth and leadership development. Student Life Coordinator Aaliyah Caldwell said the conference was designed to provide students with resources and networking opportunities while encouraging them to connect across campuses.

MGCCC President Mary Graham emphasized the importance of engaging with community leaders, noting that it empowers students to take initiative as future leaders. The interactive sessions covered essential topics such as work-life balance, networking and volunteering. Caroline Nelson, president of the Jackson County Student Government Association, emphasized how these gatherings help build students’ leadership confidence and provide valuable networking experience.
