HII Awarded $209 Million Contract to Support U.S. Air Force Weapons Systems Development and Sustainment

MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 12, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HII (NYSE: HII) today announced that its Mission Technologies division has been awarded a $209 million contract to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Air Force’s (USAF) fighter and bomber weapon systems and subsystems. The HII team will perform research and analysis to support the development, sustainment and long-term strategy of the USAF’s weapon systems.

Under the five-year mission statement, HII will provide support to the U.S. Air Force’s Fighter, Advanced Aircraft, and Bomber Directorates to provide the USAF, other U.S. services, and partner nations with fighter and bomber weapon systems that can operate effectively in a variety of warfighting scenarios.
