During her suspension, Ms. Moore had contact with school staff members in violation of her suspension.

In July 2023, a disciplinary committee found that she had failed to demonstrate that she understood that her actions were inappropriate and amounted to serious misconduct.

It found that “the allegations were very serious and involved aggressive physical contact with a pupil”. It also concluded that pupils had been subjected to “unsafe behaviour” from someone who should have been setting a good example and creating a safe, happy environment.

Ms Moore went to court to claim the panel’s finding of gross misconduct was based on a biased process. She said there were factual errors and it had been “unnecessarily harsh”.

However, the court ruled that Mrs Moore had not been wrongfully dismissed.
