Arthaus released “African Queen” (1951) in a new edition


On November 7, 2024, Arthaus will release a new edition of the adventure films “African Queen” in the year 1951. The film broadcast by John Huston and starring legendary actors Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart will be the best classic core of film history. In this new version, “African Queen” will appear in the standard version on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD.

This display is light, the film in herausragender picture and sound quality is new. Other marks are the restoration in 4K, which is very light, the induced display and the atmospheric air cooling in no more day details. The film originated from the film of Rose Sayer (Katharine Hepburn) and Charlie Allnut (Humphrey Bogart), who the first Weltkriegs in Africa lay aside, a dangerous mission on a small moisture ship that was involved.

The Neuauflage is aimed at seeing a Sammler as a new Zuschauer, the timeless Klassiker in the best quality possible.
