The comeback has been made: On Christmas Day 2023, the Hotel Mandarin Oriental Savoy in Zurich was renovated, after which the Luxushaus at the Paradeplatz was renovated for 80 Million Francs. Now we are proud of the 5-star hotel of the city of Zürich by Gault Millau with the rating “Hotel des Jahres 2025”.

The «Mandarin Oriental Savoy» is available in 44 rooms and 36 suites – designed by Parisian hostel architects Tristan Auer – which include a rooftop bar and two restaurants. The hotel is operated by UBS. Operations at Hotel von Mandarin Oriental.

Tradition house on the Paradeplatz
A Christmas 1838 eropente Johannes Baur, a young baker from dem Vorarlberg, on the Zürcher Paradeplatz of Hotel Baur. There are things that say: “I am happy with the time, all domestic and foreign travel stories in my hotel are a little, with the best and elegant service of the hotel.”

Restaurant Orsini delicious
The menu for the restaurant Orsini features Antonio Guida, Michelin-Starred Koch in «Mandarin Oriental Milan». The chef has found the best man in Switzerland: Dario Moresco provides Italian Fine Dining in Zurich.

Gault Millau chef Urs Heller: “If a ‹Hotel des Jahres› will be, one of the cuisines will be prepared. Dario Moresco and his sous chef Gianmarco D’Alonzo are preparing him and starting his Swiss career with 16 points.”

Meeting point Savoy Brasserie
The hotel’s own restaurant is the Savoy Brasserie & Bar – with the Australian terrace in summer. Chef Benjamin Halat, with the famous “Mandarin Oriental Bangkok”, writes the menu here. Gault Millau zeichnet die Küche met 15 Punkten aus.

Roof Terrace Bar «1838»
Eine Bar in Dachgeschoss hat Tradition in «Savoy». Bereits 1838 empfing Johannes Baur seine Gäste in «Belvédère», as one of the first Rooftop-Bars of the World. Heute heisst die Bar im siebten Stock «1838». On the Dachterrasse – with a view of the city and the sea – no drinks or Asian snacks were served. (mm)
