Patriotism and faith are constantly under attack from the left in our country. Fortunately, there are some officials who are fighting back and encouraging patriotism and faith.

Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters appeared on “Fox and Friends” Saturday to discuss the importance of patriotism. He said new policies would be implemented to encourage and protect students who want to show their patriotism.

He said that under the new policy, students would not be punished but instead encouraged to embrace patriotism. This response was largely due to a high school student, Caleb Horst, who was targeted by anti-patriotic staff at Edmond High School earlier this month, forcing him to remove an American flag from his pickup truck.

Oklahoma State School Superintendent Ryan Walters told Fox News Channel that his school district will implement new rules to help students show their patriotism after an Oklahoma high school student was forced by school officials to remove an American flag from his truck earlier this month.

Walters spoke on “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Saturday to explain that under the new guidelines for state schools, no student will be punished for displaying the flag or showing patriotism. Instead, they will be encouraged to love their country and better understand its founding.

“We’re not going to tolerate this anti-Americanism,” Walters told “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Pete Hegseth.

“All-new guidelines mean schools across Oklahoma must ensure flags can be flown and students recite the Pledge of Allegiance at least once a week,” Hegseth said.

“What’s your position in Oklahoma?” Hegseth asked.

“We will not tolerate this anti-Americanism. We’ve seen it pushed by the Biden administration, by the teachers unions, by the radical left. We will not tolerate it in our schools. We want patriots, we want our students to fly the American flag. This is the reality, this is a flag that so many died for,” Walters said.

“We want our children to love that flag, to love this country, so we acted quickly and said this will never happen again. Every school in the state will protect the right of our students to fly that flag,” Walters continued.

“Shouldn’t the Pledge of Allegiance be said once a week?” Hegseth asked.

“That’s right, look, we have to take the pledge,” Walters replied.

“We need more patriotism. We’ve seen our schools become left-wing indoctrination factories that promote hatred for the country. That’s not going to happen in Oklahoma,” Walters continued.

“What was the reaction?” Hegseth asked about adding the Bible to the curriculum.

“The Bible is coming back into the classrooms here in Oklahoma. We’re absolutely going to talk about the impact the Bible had in our history,” Walters responded.
