Victor Osimhen ends Napoli nightmare with transfer to Turkey

The prolific forward, who scored 15 league goals in just 22 starts last season, attracted the attention of clubs including Chelsea and PSG last summer.

The club made it clear that they wanted to sell the striker, but with no deal concluded by the end of the European transfer window, the Nigerian international was completely shut out and was excluded from Napoli’s official squad.

Osimhen then had the choice of finding a club whose transfer window was still open after the end of August, or waiting until January to secure a transfer.

That nightmare has now come to an end as Galatasaray have offered the exiled striker a lifeline.
